Blog EntryFriday's Feast #21Jan 18, '08 9:28 PM
for everyone

Check out the Feast HERE.

Appetizer
What is your favorite beverage?

I don't really have one.  But I do have a soft spot in my heart for Orangina.

Soup
Name 3 things that are on your computer desk at home or work.

My houseplant Aloha. (yes, I still name my plants. Get off me)

A picture of Sweetie from my first visit to Maui to visit him.

The Protector of My Office:  Bumble.  Who never sits down on the job.  He may tumble due to a Maui earthquake, but he will not sit down.

Salad
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how honest do you think you are?

Is this like one of those questions where you meet two people at a fork in the road? One always tells the truth.  One always lies.  You can ask one person one question.  What do you ask to find out the correct path to take?

How do you know if my answer is true or not?

That being said, I am afraid to say I am honest almost to a fault. So, I would probably say 8. I may have, however, in my foolish youth, been known to lie to customs officials.

Main Course
If you could change the name of one city in the world, what would you rename it and why?

I can't seem to come with anything.  Maybe I would pick a random town and name it Stone Girlopolis, for the sheer joy of it.

Dessert
What stresses you out? What calms you down?

Money sometimes still stresses me out.  Worrying about loved ones' health can stress me out.  Music calms me down.  Climbing a tree calms me (old old habit).  Having my Sweetie grab me in a big hug and holding on can calm me down.  Having Sweetie tell me "Stop worrying" without getting irritated or judgemental of me also helps sometimes too.

P.S. - If I remember, I'll post the answer to that question, if no one can figure it out!

Blog EntryEarthquake damageOct 18, '06 12:10 AM
for everyone

In addition to one broken candle holder that fell off the kitchen counter during Monday's earthquake, this is probably the worst damage in our house. I left poor Bumble standing up on my printer on my desk, but the shaking was too much for him and he toppled over from his perch. He is uninjured and now has both paws on the desk.

5. My super nifty, super-handsome, super-happy plant that I named “Aloha.” Yes, I sometimes name my plants. Get over it.

6. My Sweetie’s Red Stapler. Man, that is the nicest stapler I have ever used. Really. Highly recommend it. Very solid.

7. Two rolodexes - one personal (small) and one work-related (big).

9. A small and disorganized pile of work papers.

10. My pen/pencil/notepad jar - a short, squatty yellow M & M vase.

11. One blue hair scrunchie.
