High off of my win in the annual Oscar Picks pool, I have confidently entered TWO March Madness pools (not for money, of course. Just for "fun.").
What do I know about College Hoops??
eeerrrrr.........ummmmmm.....
eeeeehhhhhhhh...........considering I attended a Division II school (while I as there anyway)..... ...........not a whole heck of a lot.
But I won't let that stop me! What do I know about film editing and documentary shorts?? Almost nothing. But I won!
In my old workplace pool, I placed 7th the last two years. I am looking to move up this year! In the other pool, my ultimate goal is not really to win - it is just to score better than my brother-in-law so I can talk smack about him in front of his buddies. Can't get better than that!
For the record, my HUGE upset pick is Boise State over well-ranked Louisville. Don't ask how I make my picks. They are not complete guesses, but not much better than that. I will admit to being somewhat competitive. I probably wouldn't pay too much attention to the NCAA games if I didn't have bragging rights on the line. I do remember how my dad enjoyed the college games. He felt like most of the players were genuine about the game - less corporate and cocky than the professionals. I enjoyed sitting on the couch with him to watch some of the games. Good times.
All right, back to work (with the game audio on). Wish me luck!
